Julie Ann featured on the first episode of the VICTA Parent Voice Podcast
Julie Ann recently joined Charlotte from VICTA on the launch episode of the VICTA Parent Voice podcast, sharing her journey as mum to Dexter and her experiences raising a child with a vision impairment.
In this heartfelt conversation, they discuss the challenges, joys and everyday adventures of family life, and the vital role parents play in supporting blind and partially sighted children.
Julie Ann also shares how their family’s journey with Dexter led to the creation of Scruffy the Uffy and inspired Dexter to write his own books — turning lived experience into stories and characters designed to empower, represent and encourage children with additional needs.
